ABOUT THE WORLD CONGRESS

From 28th to 30th of May 2018 at UNESCO House in Paris, six international NGOs in collaboration with UNESCO through the Information For All Programme (IFAP) are organising the World Congress on Justice for Children "Strengthening Justice Systems for Children: Challenges, including disengagement from violent extremism". During 3 days, more than 600 participants are expected to discuss child justice and violent extremism in 10 plenary sessions and 26 workshops. The World Congress will enjoy interpretation in French, English, Spanish and Arabic. 

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND WORKSHOPS: Results in March
You have been very active in sending us your proposal for the call for abstract and workshop on one of the 12 proposed themes: protection system, prevention, diversion and alternatives programmes, detention, aftercare and reintegration, multiagency actions, gender, prevention of violent extremism, due process of law, hybridity and advocating children's rights. Thank you!

At the moment, we have received more than 300 applications.  First results will be communicated from beginning of March.

The scientific committee of the World Congress on Justice for Children is composed of international experts, coming from the five continents, who support the development of the Congress programme and the selection of speakers and workshops.
